Samuel Smith Jr.

     Samuel was born before 8 February 1625/26 in Whatfield, County Suffolk, England. On 8 February 1625/26, he was christened in Whatfield, County Suffolk, England, at St. Margaret's Chrch. He was the son of Lieutenant Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Smythe. Samuel married Rebecca Smith. It appears that Rebecca was unhappy with this marriage & had another love, Nathaniel Borman. He left her as an honorable move so that she could free herself & marry the man she loved. He went to Virginia before 1664 & did not return. She married Nathaniel in 1669.
