     Sarah was born. Sarah married Joseph Barlow, son of John Barlow II and Abigail Lockwood, in 1697 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.1

Be it known unto all men to whom this shall come by those presents ye ______Joseph Barlow of Fairfield in ye Colony of Connecticut in New England dieing intestate ye widow relict of said Barlow & his Brothers do agree as to how she said Barlow’s widow is to receive or take up with her portion of her deceased husband’s Estate is contained in ye following Articles Viz. - - - Imprimis – Ye aforesaid widow Barlow shall have as her own proper estate to possess & enjoy to order & dispose of as she see meet forever All ye land ye she received from her father as part of her portion - - - Item She said widow & her assigns forever shall have & enjoy all ye moveable estate of said Barlow her loving husband deceased - - - Item said widow shall have & enjoy without any disturbance or molestation from any of her kindred viz. us her Brothern in Law whose names are underwritten during ye time of her being a widow to aforesaid Barlow deceased said deceased house & home lott together with two acres of Land ye front of land 10 acres above said Barlow’s deceased bought of Edward Smith of foresaid Fairfield - - - These we say are the articles of our agreement to those articles we ye said Brothers of said Barlow deceased on ye one party and Sarah Barlow widow of said Joseph Barlow on ye of her part fo bind our selves & assigns mutually forever - - -Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & Seals ye 3rd day of November A.D. 1698.

She married 2nd. Zachariah Ferris on 20 September 1699 in Fairfield.1
