     Daniel was born in 1683 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Lieut. John Olmsted and Mary Benedict. Daniel married Hannah Ketcham on 9 May 1711 in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
