Isaac Ostrom

     Isaac was born on Monday, 10 October 1763 in Phillipse Manor, Westchester County, New York. He was the son of Jan Ooswtrom and Engeltje Storm. Isaac married Hanna Leggett, daughter of Thomas Leggett and Mary Embree, on 18 July 1788 in New York. Isaac and Hannah had children: Thomas Leggett [3/04/1789-4/13/1863], Mary [11/01/1790], Isaac [9/16/1792-11/04/1870] [m. Dorcas], Esther [9/10/1794] & Rebecca [5/12/1796-1/08/1892], Sarah [7/05/1799], Hannah [9/29/1801] & John Leggett [9/18/1803-2/19/1876]. The 1790 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Stillwater, Albany County, New York, the family of Isaac Ostrom [22:1]. The 1810 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Luzerne, Washington County, New York, the family of Isaac Ostrom [10401:02001].¹ The 1820 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Luzerne the family of Isaac Ostrom [00101:00201].² Isaac departed this life on Friday, 4 March 1836 in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York, at age 72 years, 4 months and 23 days. He was buried there in Oakwood Cemetery.³
