Joshua Bangs

Joshua was born in 1646 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Edward Bangs and Rebecca Hobart. Joshua married Hannah Scudder on 1 December 1669 in Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Joshua and Hannah had one son Joshua Jr [1673-1706].1 Joshua made his will on 20 February 1706/7. He leaves his estate to his wife and 7 sisters. Joshua departed this life on Monday, 13 January 1709/10 in Eastham at age 64 years.2 He was buried there in the ancient Cememtery. The inscription on his stone reads: Joshua Bangs died 13 January, 1709/10 in his 64th year.3
