Benjamin Peter Phillip Franklin McCurdy

     Benjamin was born on Thursday, 7 December 1848 at Crawford County, Ohio. He was the son of Thomas C. McCurdy and Susan Vassar. Benjamin married Sarah Elsworth on 22 December 1870 at Ohio. Benjamin & Sarah were blessed with 14 children - one dying in infancy. He was a resident of Franklin County, Kansas for twenty-five years, moving in 1912 to Ness County near Brownell. They were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Williamsburg. 1880, Benjamin was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Brush Township, Rooks County, Kansas.
