     Essa was born on Wednesday, 30 July 1890 at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Benjamin Peter Phillip Franklin McCurdy and Sarah Elsworth. Essa also went by the name of Essie. Essa married William Earl Lindsey on 15 March 1910 at Quenemo, Osage County, Kansas. William retired as a mechanic & was employed at Boeing for a number of years. He was a member of Norwich Methodist Church & the I.O.O.F. Lodge. Essa departed this life on Sunday, 18 July 1965 at the Donley Hospital, Kingman, Kingman County, Kansas, at age 74 years, 11 months and 18 days. [Obituary] Essa was laid to rest on 20 July 1965 in the Upchurch Cemetery, Norwich, Kingman County, Kansas.
