     Ada Bertha was born on Tuesday, 3 July 1866 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. In 1892, Addie immigrated to Detroit, Michigan where she was a seamstress. She often lived with her sisters Ethel & Annie, helping them with their families. She was never married. 25 April 1910, the U.S. Federal Census listed Addie living in the home of her sister at Detroit at Labrosse & 3rd Ave.. Enumerated in this household were George J. Lemire [29 Canada immigrated 1900], his wife: Anna E. [29 Canada immigrated 1900], sister-in-law: Addie B. Meraw [35 Canada immigrated 1892 dressmaker], & sister-in-law: Ethel M. Meraw [24 Canada immigrated 1906 tailoress]. George & Anna had been married 4 years.1 6 January 1920, the U.S. Federal Census listed Addie living in the home of her sister at Detroit at 982 Greenwood Ave. Enumerated in this household were George J Lemire [38 Canada], Anna E. [34 Canada] & sister-in-law Ada Meraw [45 Canada.] The couple is renting their home. George is an inspector at an adding Machine Manufacturer and Ada is a cloak fitter at Spiegals Department Store.2 2 May 1930, the U.S. Federal Census listed Addie living in the home of her sister at Detroit at 13565 Stoepel. Enumerated in this household were George Lemire J. [47 Michigan], Anna [45 Michigan] & Sister-in-law Ada Meraw [51 Michigan]. George was an inspector for an Adding Machine Manufacturer and Ada is a dressmaker for private customers.3 She became a naturalized citizen on 13 September 1943.4 Ada departed this life on Friday, 12 November 1943 in Birmingham, Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, at her sister's home, 619 Vinewood at age 77 years, 4 months and 9 days.5 She was buried there in Southfield, Southfield Township in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In section 15, lot 65, grave 7. She is buried in the same section as her sisters: Ethel & Annie.6
