Robert Victor was born on Thursday, 23 April 1914 in Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan, at Merrill Street. Victor 38 & Ethyl 26, birth certificate in error with a birth date of April 25. On 17 May 1914, he was christened in Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan, at St. Mary's Church. Father Needhem performed the rite, His Godparents were George & Annie Randall. Robert Victor Pollock also went by the name of Bob. Bob married JoAnn Virginia Howell on 30 May 1941 in Birmingham at Holy Name Church Rectory. Father David J.Duncan performed the ceremony in the rectory of Holy Name. Billie Howell and Phillip Pollock stood up for the couple.1 On 14 December 1934, Robert began working for the Detroit Edison Company. On 30 May 1941, Robert & JoAnn resided at the Birmingham Manor Apartments at 327 Southfield. On 1 October 1950, they moved into their new home they had built at 695 Hanna Street, Birmingham. In 1951, the moved to 588 Southfield, Birmingham, the home in which JoAnn had been raised. In September of 1963, they moved to a smaller home at 917 South Glenhurst Drive, Birmingham. Robert retired from the Detroit Edison Company Retired 1 May 1979.
Between 2 January 1943 & 6 March 1946 , Bob served in the Air Force. First stationed Harris Neck St. Catherines Island where he taught Plane recognition
At Seymour Johnson AirForce Base, S. Carolina was assigned as an investigator, stayed only a short time before being
stationed at Sufferage Field until March of 1945. Transferred to Headquarters replaced Benson Ford, then sent to Lynn Mass., Fort .
stayed there for a month then moved to Arye Mass. (Fort Devens POW camp) and remained until released

JoAnn and a friend Juanita Mudge visited Rob and Harry. Sent to Hollywood as a request of JoAnn, a neighbor was a Sar. in personell. Food poisoning on train ride to CA. Stayed at the Embassy Hotel in Hollywood, went to school at Southeastern, spent time listening to Big Bands. went to the Florintine Gardens, a big Night Club very crowded, their table next to the dance floor. Saw Johnny Weismueller drunk at a bar at noon. His rank was Sargaent. Robert departed this life on Tuesday, 13 February 2007 in Rochester Hills, Oakland Coundy, Michigan, at the Nursing Floor of the Mercy Bellbrook Retirement Center at age 92 years, 9 months and 21 days. He was buried at Southfield in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. His funeral service was held at Holy Name Church.
