Mary was born in 1827 in Ireland. Mary married Francis Meraw, son of Ambroise Merand and Julie Rivard dit Lanouette, on 27 November 1844 in Bellleville, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, at St. Michael the Archangel Church.¹ Her married name was Meraw. Mary departed this life on Sunday, 16 August 1874 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, at age 47 years. She was buried at Village of Stoco, Hungerford Township in the yard of St. Edmund Church. Her family was buried in plots 297 & 298. Her tombstone reads: In Memory of Mary Campbell, Beloved Wife of Francis Meraw, died 16 August 1874 - age 47 years.²
