     Phillip was born on Wednesday, 3 July 1872 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. On on 18 August 1872, he was christened at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Madoc Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. His sponsors were Mr. & Mrs, Edward Beausoliel.1 Phillip was listed on the 1901 Canadian census living with his brother in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Enumberated in the household were Thomas Meraw [5 Nov 1875 - 25 years], Agness [26 Nov 1877 - 23 years], Francis B. [18 Mar 1899 - 2 years], Philip [3 Jul 1873 - 27 years]. [District B5, page 12] On 21 September 1901, Thomas Mearow & his wife made a quit claim deed to his brother Philip Mearow for the south east 1/4 of lot 12 in the 12th concession. The deed stated it was for 150 acres for $3,400.00. [Note – The additional 100 acres are likely in lot 12 of the 11th concession which show on 1875 map as owned by Joseph Gabourie.klm] Release of Dower dated 12 October 1908 registered 19 October 1910. Grantor Bertha Meraw, wife of Philip Meraw to Philip Meraw, husband of Bertha Meraw, $250.00, SE ¼.2 Phillip married Bertha Sexsmith on 17 November 1901 in Tweed.3 Phillip lived some with his brother Thomas, helping him on the farm. He is later found on a land record with his wife. Phillip was listed on the 1911 Canadian census living with his parents in 44 Moira Street, Village of Tweed, Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Enumberated in the household were Trifley Moraw Sr. [83 Quebec - Oct. 1827], Harriet [68 Ontario - April 1843], Philip [34 Ontario - July 1876]. [Page 1, line 1 Hastings East, Dist. 79, sub. dist. 16 - Tweed Village] [Note: The next household was Edward Beausoliel [82 - I? August 1828]].4 Philip became a Naturalized citizen on 8 December 1925 at the District Court in Detroit. Phillip departed this life on Thursday, 22 August 1940 in Kingston, Frontec County, Ontario, Canada, at age 68 years, 1 month and 19 days.
