Simon Lajoie1

     Simon was born on Sunday, 18 February 1877 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Nelson & Edese [Rashotte] Lajoie.2 Simon married Margaret Mary Allore, daughter of Alfred Allore and Margaret Meraw, on 23 November 1926 in Hungerford Township.3 Simon departed this life in 1959 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, at age 81 years. Simon was laid to rest in the yard of St. Carthagh Church, Village of Tweed, Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, in grave number 158 alongside his wife.4

She was born on February 9,1883 and died in 1965. Simon died in 1959 and both were buried in St.Carthagh's cemetery. They had; 1. Benedict married Rose. 2. Marjorie. 3. Louise married Everett Barton. 4. Jerome was born on June 5,1924, married Phyllis Hacker, died February 26,1990, buried in St.Carthagh's.
