Alfred Allore

     Alfred was born on Friday, 1 August 1856 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Francis & Elizabeth Allore. Alfred Allore also went by the name of Fred. Alfred married Margaret Meraw, daughter of Louis Trifley Meraw and Harriet Pelland dit Beausoliel, on 18 April 1882 in Madoc Township at Sacred Heart of Mary Church.¹ Alfred and his wife, Margaret, were listed on the 1891 Canadian Census in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Fredrick Allore [35], Margaret [27], Margaret [7], Alfred [4], Felix [3], Francis [2]. [District 5, page 28 - Hastings East] Alfred and his wife, Margaret, were listed on the 1901 Canadian Census in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Alfred Allore [1 Aug 1856 - 44], Maggie [15 Feb 1864 - 36], Maggie [2 Feb 1883 -17], Alfred [14 Dec 1885 - 15], Felix [29 Dec 1887 - 13], Frank [6 Jul 1889 - 11], Lenard [23 Jan 1891 - 9], Stella [14 Apr 1893 - 7], Willie [22 Nov 1894 - 6]. [District 5, pages 1-2 - Hungerford East] Alfred departed this life in 1932 in the Village Tweed, Hungerford Twp., Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, at age 75 years. Alfred was laid to rest in the yard of St. Edmund Church, Village of Stoco, Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada, in plot 257. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Fred Allore 1857-1932 & below it says His Wife Margaret Meraw 1864-1948 & below her, Their Children Estella 1893-1917 & Joseph 1901-1904.²
