     Amanda was born on Monday, 9 January 1905 at Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Sidney McCurdy and Cora Ellen Peterman. Amanda also went by the name of Jessie. 2 May 1940, Amanda was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at the Crawford Children's Home, Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. Enumerated in this facility as members of the staff were Jessie McCurdy [25 Ohio], Edith McCurdy [29 Ohio]. Jessie is working as the girl's Governess and her sister, Edith, was working as a cook. They both worked 52 hours and made $444 a year.1 As of 30 August 1947,her married name was Woodworth.2 Jessie married Chauncey Woodworth on 30 August 1947 at Crawford County, Ohio.2 Chauncey had two children by his first wife who died in childbirth: Wilma Jean 4/28/1944 & Joan 10/03/1946. Jessie departed this life on Monday, 28 June 1982 at Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio, at age 77 years, 5 months and 19 days.
