     Ella was born on Saturday, 5 June 1909 at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Thomas McCurdy and Adella Viola Duffey. Ella married William Franklin LaMance in 1933 at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. Ella wad murdered in her home on Monday, 15 August 1938 at Laclede, Linn County, Missouri, at age 29 years, 2 months and 10 days. An article in the [UL:Kansas City Star:UL] explains the death of Ella. Her husband had been accused of her murder. Her body was found in a backyard cellar. Ella was laid to rest in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas, in the NE section, row 3.1
