Purdy, on 29 April 1901 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.² 9 January 1920, Caroline was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at 372 Charles River Road. Enumerated in this household were Caroline P. Mott [40 Massachusetts]. Her mother is living in the same aprtment building.³ 15 April 1940, Caroline was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in New York City at 64 East 90th Street. Enumerated in this household were Caroline P. Mott [60 Massachusetts][Divorced]. She was renting for $115. She lived at the same address in 1935.⁴
