Mary Ferris Tabor

     Mary was born on Tuesday, 9 March 1852 at Throgs Neck, the town of Westchester, Westchester County, New York. Mary Ferris married Edward Willis Parsons, son of James Bowne Parsons and Elizabeth Ferris Cock, on 5 October 1876 in Throgs Neck, Westchester County, New York, at the home of her parents. 16 June 1880, Maryand her husband, and her husband, Edward were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in the town of Westchester, Westchester County, New York. Enumerated in this household were Augustus Tabor [54 Massachusetts], Anna F [53 New York], Cornelia [22 New York], son-in-law: Edward Parsons [29 New York], daughter: Mary T [28 New York], grand daughter: Edith A Parsons [1 New York], servants: Alice Frankison [35 New York] & Amelia Clark [35 England]. Augustus is a marble merchant and Edward works in a nursery.¹ Between 1883 and 1896, they immigrated probably with Mary’s parents to settle in California. Mary departed this life on Monday, 17 February 1896 in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California.
