Thomas was born on Friday, 17 March 1815 at Wrawby, Lincolnshire, England. On 19 March 1815, Thomas was christened at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Wrawby, Lincolnshire, England. Thomas married Eliza Chester between October 1838 and December 1838 at Glanford Btigg, Lincolnshire, England.3 The family immigrated from Lincolnshire, England to Canada about 1643 settling in Bronte, Ontario. Thomas was a farmer & a shoemaker. Thomas & Eliza were both Baptists and belonged to the Walton Memorial Church. They owned three lots in the line of the church.4 1851, an unknown person was listed on the Canadian Census at Village of Bronte, Trafalgar Township, Halton County, Ontario, Canada. This the Last Will and Testament of me, Thomas Bethell Colton of the village of Bronte in the county of Halton and province of Ontario shoe maker made this fourth day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty five. I revoke all former wills or other testamentary dispositions by me at anytime heretofore made and declare this only to be and contain my Last Will and Testament. I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied by my executors hereinafter named as soon as conviently may be after my decease. I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate of which I may die possessed in the manner following, that is to say: the whole of my shoe maker tools I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ann Cunneywirth absolutely. My real estate which is composed of all and singular that certain parcel or Trust of land and premises situate lying and being in the Town of Bronte in county of Halton and province of Ontario containing by admeasurement three acres better sum more or less being confered of park lot number twenty four on the south side of John Street in the said town of Bronte and any other lands of which I may die possessed I will and direct that my executors hereinafter named shall as soon as conviently may be after my decease sell the said land and premises the same to the purchaser or purchasers hereof and wit of the proceeds arising from the sale said lands in the first place to pay all my just debts and expenses of every nature or kind and whatever balance be remaining after payment of my said just debts and expenses then I will and direct that my executors shall invest the same in good securities [or place it in the post office savings bank in the province of Ontario] and whatever interest they can derive from the same while so invested or while it may be deposited in the savings bank as aforesaid such interest I will and direct shall paid to my daughter Jane Colton during the term of her natural life and at her death to pay the whole of her funeral expenses and then whatever sum may remain the sum to be divided equally among the whole of my children that may be then living.
And my personal effects of which I may die possessed and not herein before devised I direct my executors to sell the dame and to apply the proceeds toward the payment of my debts and expenses.
All the residue of my estate herein before disposed of I give devise and bequeath unto my executors for the use and purposes of my estate.
And I nominate and appoint George Chapman and Muhlver Bray both of the township of Trafalger in the said county Halton, farmers to be the executors of this my last Will and Testament.

Eliza was born circa 1819 at England. Eliza married Thomas Bethel Colton, son of William Bethel Colton and Sarah Bingham, between October 1838 and December 1838 at Glanford Btigg, Lincolnshire, England.1 Eliza made her will 10 September 1884 at Village of Bronte, Trafalgar Township, Halton County, Ontario, Canada.
That I Elizar Colton, wife of Thomas Colton, of Bronte, in the County of Halton, Providence of Ontario, Canada, of the age of 65 years, and being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following: to wit, my will is first, that my daughter Jane Colton shall receive all the profit, rent, use of benefit that may be derived from my real estate, after my death, during her life time, the said real estate consisting of six acres of land in the Town of Bronte in the County of Halton, Ont., being lots nos. 25 and 26 North of Triller St. and South of John St. And Second, that after the death of my daughter Jane Colton, my will is that the said land be sold and the proceeds be equally divided my remaining children who are Sarah Johnston, Mary Ann Cuneyworth, Elizar Jackson, Charlotte Pollock, William Colton and Maggie Colton, and I do nominate and appoint Maholn Bray and Alexander C. Orr, to be the executors of this my last Will and Testament.

[Halton & Peel Counties Marriages 1869-1873] Charlotte departed this life on Wednesday, 31 December 1930 at Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 77 years and 7 days.
Obituary: Mrs. George Pollock -
The death occurred at Birmingham, Mich., shortly before noon on Wednesday, December 31st, of Charlotte Colton, widow of the late Captain George Pollock, of Nichol, in her 79th year. Mrs. Pollock keft here December 19 to visit her sons: George, of Mount Clemens, and Victor, of Birmingham, and it was while at the latter's home that she was taken ill with pneumonia on Christmas night. Her illness took a serious turn on Monday and her neice, Mrs. Arthur Main, and granddaughter, Miss Eleanor Pollock, of Elora left on Tuesday morning for her bedside. The late Mrs. Pollock who was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eliza Colton, was born at Bronte, Ontario. She was married to George Pollock when she was nineteen years of age, and lived after her marriage for a time, in Detroit and Chetoygan, Mich. The family were residents of this district back about 1895, and later they returned to Detroit to return here 24 years ago, where Capt. Pollock died one year later.
She leaves to mourn her loss, two sons, George, of Mount Clemens, and Victor, of Birmingham, and four grandchildren, one of whom is Miss Eleanor Pollock, who made her home with deceased, and a neice, Mrs. Arthur Main, formerly Miss Daisy Colton, of Elora, also one sister, Mrs. Hinton, of Bronte.
A short memorial service was held at the home of her son, Victor, and was conducted by Rev. Aiken, minister of the Methodist Church. The funeral took place from her late residence, Nichol Twp., on Saturday, Jan. 3rd, 1931 to Elora Cemetery for interment.
Relatives and friends from a distance were from Mount Clemens and Birmingham, Mich; Hamilton, Oakville, Bronte, Burlington, Toronto, Aldershot, Fergus and Niagra-on-the-Lake.
The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: James Jackson, Thomas Johnson, Chester Hinton, Joe Hinton, Jack Cunneyworth and Arthur Main.
The floral offerings were numerous showing the esteem in which the deceased was held.
Daisy Colton Main was appointed administrator of Charlotte's estate on 19 May 1931.
Charlotte was laid to rest in the Elora Cemetery, Elora, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada.1

George died on Thursday, 17 October 1907 at Nichol Township, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada, at age 57 years and 6 months of angina pectoris which he suffered from for about 2 years.
Obituary: Death of Capt. George Pollock - After an illness of over an year Capt. George Pollock died at his residence in Nichol, near Elora, on Thursday night, Oct. 17th. His malady is known as angina pectoris, and for several months past it has been known to his friends that it must terminate fatally. Capt. Pollock was a native of Toronto, and had reached the age of 55 years and 6 months. He was married on Sept. 24th 1872, to Miss Charlotte Colton, of Bronte, Ontario. Capt. Pollock had for forty years been a sailor on the Great Lakes, having 21 years ago attained the rank of Captain. He sailed from Daluth to Buffalo. Two years ago he gave up life on the wave for a quiet life in the country, and settled on the farm near Elora, where he died. There are left to morn his loss a widow and two sons, the latter being George H. at home; and Victor, of Detroit; to them and Miss Colton, Capt. and Mrs. Pollock, public Sympathy is extended.
The deceased was a member of Cheboygan Lodge Michigan A. F. & A. M., and the funeral on Sunday was conducted with Masonic honors by Irvine Lodge Elora. Bro. Rev. A. D. Robb conducted the serviceat the house and at the grave. The Masonic service at the house was conducted by W. M. Dr. Roberson. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Thos. Godfrey, John Gibb, Wm. Griffin, A. K. P, NacDonald, I. Kerfoot, J. Busoroth, Bro. Jim Wells acted as martial, with a large ontrage of citizens followed the remains to their last resting place in the Elora Cemetery.1

Soon after, George's job as a ship's captain took the family to reside in the United States at Cheboygan, Michigan by June of 1880. While there, George became a 32nd degree Mason. On 11 April 1887, George & Charlotte purchased 50 acres in Nichol Township on concession 13 lot 19. In the early 1890's, the family returned to reside at their farm for a short time. By 1895, the family was living at 260 Second Street, Detroit, Michigan. Between 1901 & 1902, the family moved to 332 Howard in Detroit. They are last found there in 1906. The family had moved back to their farm in Elora which they had been renting during their stay in the US. Charlotte continued to reside there on the farm until her death.

I give, devise, and bequeath unto my wife Charlotte Pollock of the aforesaid City of Detroit in the County of Wayne and State of Michigan, all and singular the property known as the southwest half of lot number 19 in the thirteenth concession of the Township of Nichol in the County of Wellington, in the Province of Ontario being fifty acres more or less and all my other real or personal property and effects whatsoever and whatsoever that I may seized or possessed of, to and for her absolute use and benefit. Subject only to the payment of debts and funeral expenses, and charges for proving and registering this my Will. And I appoint the said Charlotte, my wife, sole execturiz of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name George Pollock Witnesses: T. Hayne and William F. George died on Thursday, 17 October 1907 at Nichol Township, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada, at age 57 years and 6 months of angina pectoris which he suffered from for about 2 years.
Obituary: Death of Capt. George Pollock - After an illness of over an year Capt. George Pollock died at his residence in Nichol, near Elora, on Thursday night, Oct. 17th. His malady is known as angina pectoris, and for several months past it has been known to his friends that it must terminate fatally. Capt. Pollock was a native of Toronto, and had reached the age of 55 years and 6 months. He was married on Sept. 24th 1872, to Miss Charlotte Colton, of Bronte, Ontario. Capt. By the time he was nine monts, he was living in Cheboygan, Michigan. By 1895, he is living at 260 Second Street in Detroit with his parents. In 1896, Victor was a clerk for Arthur Santo. In 1898, Victor was working as a butcher. In 1901, he was working for Martindale & Co. Between 1901 & 1902, he was residing at 332 Howard with his parents. In 1903, he is still a ckerk. On 1 May 1905, Victor started working as an electrician for the Detroit Edison Company as its 75th employee. In 1906, Victor is an electrician. By 1907, his parents had moved back to Canada & he is renting a room at 27 Labrosse from George Lemire. In 1909, he is renting at 156 Fifth Ave. By 1 July 1910, Victor has moved to Pontiac.
Ethel was raised in Tweed, Ontario. She followed her sisters, Addy & Anna to reside in the United States in 1906. She lived at the home of her sister Anna & George Lemire at 27 Labrosse along with her sister Addy. She was a tailor. Her sister Addy was a seamstress.
After their marriage, Victor & Ethel resided at 142 South Woodward near Merrill Street. In 1920, they built a new home at 619 Vinewood. In 1929, Victor suffered a severe fall from an electrical post. He had a glass instrument left in him after he had gone through surgery for his fall. This resulted in him becoming paralyzed. His last noted day of employment was noted as 1 November 1929.
