They are renting their home for $30 a month. James finshed 8th grade, Mary finished high school. They lived at the same place in 1935. James was an assistant manager for a petroium company. He is making $1200 a year.3 On 16 February 1942, James signed up for the draft registration. He was described as being 6' 10 1/2" 165 pounds, Blue eyes, Blonde hair, Rudy Complexion. He worked for Meraw Services at 985 East Maple, Birmingham.4 James departed this life on Sunday, 9 September 1984 at Birmingham at age 83 years, 10 months and 11 days.
