Mabel married Leon Meraw, son of John Francis Meraw and Mary Lajoie, on 23 February 1925 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.1 Her married name was Meraw.2 April 1930, Leon and Mabel was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at 8131 Homer Street. Enumerated in this household were Leon Meraw [26 Canada], Mabel [26 Canada], Kenneth [4 Michigan], Francis [2 Michigan] & Jean [ 4 montrhs Michigan]. they are renting a duplex for $40 a month and they own a radio. Both were 21 when married. Leon is a laborer for a contractor.3
