Elizabeth Ann Bray

Polly owned the house. Stanley was a repairman at a garage. Henry was a conductor on a street car while Lawrence repaired street cars. Mark was a salesman for gas stores. 11 April 1930, the U.S. Federal Census listed Elizabeth in the household of her mother at 788 Pierce Street, the Village of Birmingham, BloomfieldTownship, Oakland Coundy, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were Polly E. Bray [58 Michigan], Stanley [30 Michigan], Warren E. [26 Michigan] & Elizabeth [20 Michigan]. Polly owns her home valued at $12,000. Stanley was a mechanic at an auto garage, Warren was a salesman for a meat market. Elizabeth was a commerical clerk for the telephone company.¹ Elizabeth Ann married Thomas Adrian Meraw, son of Thomas Meraw and Mary Agnes Hott, on 23 June 1934 in Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan.² 16 April 1940, Thomas and Elizabeth was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan, at 936 Forest Street. Enumerated in this household were Thomas A. Meraw [36 Canada English], Elizabeth G [30 Michigan], Thomas E. [1 Michigan] & a lodger: Arnold Schultz [22 Michigan]. They owned their home valued at $6500. Thomas owns a gas station and Arnold drives a truck for a feed business. They lived at the same address in 1935.³ Elizabeth's husband, Thomas died on 16 August 1941 in Au Train Township, Alger County, Michigan, at age 37 years and 11 months, leaving her a widow.⁴ She married 2nd 2 June 1942, Warren Donaldson Ross [9/09/1902-0/28/1947]. They had a son Frederick Samuel born 6 August 1943 died 1991. She died 1977 at Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan, at age 68 years.+. She was buried at Birmingham in Greenwood Cemetery.
