Isaac Sweney

     Isaac was born on Saturday, 24 October 1795 at Gettysburg, Cumberland Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Sweney and Sarah Lytle and brother of John Lytel. Isaac married Emily Farling Beckwith on 17 January 1830 at Crawford County, Ohio. An unknown person married 2nd Elizabeth McCurdy, daughter of James McCurdy I and Elizabeth Taylor, on 4 April 1838 at Crawford County, Ohio.¹ Isaac & Elizabeth joined his brother Thomas Campbell & his wife, Deborah [Miller] in Porter County, Indiana in 1839. 29 September 1850, Isaac and his wife, Elizabeth, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Boone Township, Porter County, Indiana. Enumerated in this household were Isaac Sweney [53 Pennsylvania], Elizabeth [34 Pennsylvania], Norman Y. [15 Ohio], David [12 Ohio]. [family number 532] Isaac departed this life on Saturday, 11 March 1854 at Boone Township, Porter County, Indiana, at age 58 years, 4 months and 15 days.
