Frankye Jean Wiscombe

     Frankye was born circa 1920 at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Frank and Pearl Wiscombe.¹ Frankye married Richard Earl Thornbrugh, son of Clemmie Weaver Thornbrugh and Emma Elizabeth Hammock, on 10 October 1936 at Garnett, Anderson County, Kansas. 5 April 1940, Frankye and her husband Richard were listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas. Enumerated in this household were Richard Thornbrugh [23 Kansas], his wife: Frankye [20 Kansas] & Cheryl [2 Kansas]. They rented their home for $8.00 a month. Richard completed 8th grade and Frankye completed one year of high school. Richard was a coal miner.²
