Cecil was born in 1903 at Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio. He was the son of Gertrude Mae McCurdy. Cecil married Ina Sanders on 29 May 1924 at Crawford County, Ohio.1 16 April 1930, Cecil and his wife, Ina, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Fostoria, Loudon Township, Seneca County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Cecil McCurdy [26 Ohio], Ina [24 Ohio], Betty J. [2 5/12 Ohio], Joseph Sanders [brother-in-law][22 Ohio]. Cecil was a cabinet maker who worked in a lumber mill. Joseph was a shipping clerk. The family lives at 348 East High Street. He was 20 years old when he first married & she was 18 years old.2 Cecil departed this life in 1933 at Fostoria, Loudon Township, Seneca County, Ohio, at age 30 years. The Sunday School at Liberty chapel class history states he is memorialized in the summer of 1934. His daughter said she was 5 years old when her father died of some disease. Cecil was laid to rest in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Loudon Township, Seneca County, Ohio.
