Earl Homer Ridnour

Earl was born on Monday, 1 March 1880. He was the son of John Wesley & Clara Angeline [Rishel] Ridnour. Earl married Anitta "Nettie" Jane Sweney, daughter of Thomas Leander Sweney and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bell, on 10 December 1904 at Morton Township, Page County, Iowa. They were married in the evening at the Sweney family farm house. Earl departed this life in 1932 at McCook, Red Willow County, Nebraska, at age 51 years. Nettie was a rather snall, slight woman & Earl was tall & strong. Earl was in the produce business in Denver at the time of their marriage. However, this was short termed, as they moved back home to Shendoah. Around 1807, they moved their home to Palisade, Nebraska where Earl's family had settled. They relocated to McCook, Nebraska just prior to 1930. Earl owned a music & piano store. He is noted as having invented "The Piano Mover", the small cart that is used to move pianos. Nettie worked in the store & also gave piano lessons.
