Enumerated in this household were Thomas Farney [54 Kansas], his wife: Grace [46 Kansas], Milo [20 Kansas] & Billie [15 Kansas]. Thomas was 34 and Grace was 25 when they married. Thomas is a firemam for the railroad; Milo is a house painter.³ 3 April 1940, Grace and her husband John were listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas. Enumerated in this household were Thomas Farney [64 Kansas], his wife: Grace [56 Kansas] & their daughter-in-law: Mildred Mae [24 Kansas]. Thomas and Grace completed 6th grade and Mildred completed one yeaer of high school. Thomas is a firemam for the railroad. They owned their home which was valued at $1500.00.⁴ Grace departed this life in 1960 at Williamsburg, Franklin County, Kansas, at age 76 years.
