     Hugh was born circa 1801 at Path Valley, Fannett Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was not on the 1800 U.S. census and he was in his father's will of 1808. He was the son of Hugh McCurdy I and Catherine (?). Hugh McCurdy of Genesee County, New York sells an orchard lot to Samuel Elliot of Metal Township 29 April 1825 of about one acre. No further information has been found on this man.2 Hugh departed this life after 1825 possibly at Genesee County, New York.
