Griffith A Williams

     Griffith was born on Saturday, 27 May 1882 at Cumberland, England. Griffith married Augusta Case, daughter of Robert Ludlow Case Jr. and Frances Livingston Waring, on 27 October 1922.1 22 April 1930, Griffith and his wife, Augusta, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in the Town of Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, at Newfield Avenue. Enumerated in this household were Griffith A. Williams [47 England], Augusta C. [47 New York]. He is the editor of a newspaper and she is a teacher in a private school.2 Griffith departed this life on Sunday, 23 September 1951 in Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana, at age 69 years, 3 months and 27 days. He was buried at Billings in Mountainview Cemetery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Giffith A. Williams - 1882-1951.3
