Edwin Lewis Palmer Jr.

     Edwin was born on Monday, 26 March 1906 at Primrose, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Edwin Lewis Palmer and Anna Dora French.¹ Edwin married Mary Elizabeth Parsons, daughter of Edward Willis Parsons and Florence L Orkney, between 1935 and 6 April 1940. 6 April 1940, Edwin and his wife, Mary, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, at Hamilton Street. Enumerated in this household were Edwin Palmer [34 Pennsylvania] & Mary [26 California]. They own their home; both have finished 4 years of college. Edwin is a projectionist for an electric utility making $1320 a year; Mary is working as a social worker for a charitable organization making $1360 a year. In 1935, Edwin lived in Primrose, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and Mary lived in Wallingford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.² Edwin departed this life in September 1991 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, at age 85 years and 5 months. He was buried at Condordville in Concord Friends Cemetery. The inscription on their tombstone read: Edwin L. Palmer Jr. - 1906-1991 - Mary Parsons Palmer - 1913-1983.³
