Grace Pershing

     Grace was born on Monday, 29 March 1869. She was of Missouri & the sister of Genl. John J. Pershing. She married Richard Bolles Paddock on 5 June 1890. Her married name was Paddock. 1 June 1900, Graceand her husband, Richard were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Fort Leavenworth, Military Reservation, Kansas. Enumerated in this household were Richard B. Paddock [40 Illinois - Decdember 1859], Grace [31 Missouri - March 1869], Richard B. Jr. [9 Wyoming - April 1891], May [7 Missouri - October 1892 & servant: Benjamin Everett [13 New York - January 1887]. They have been married 10 years with 2 children, both living. Richard was a captain in the U.S. Army.¹ Grace departed this life on Tuesday, 5 April 1904.
