Wright Seaman

     Wright was born on Tuesday, 8 December 1829 at New York. He was never married. 1 June 1860, Wright was was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Princeton, Bureau County, Illinois. Enumerated in this household were Stephen G.Paddock [32 New York], Margaret [30 New York], James S. [3 Illinois], Richard B. [9 months - Illinois], Wright Seaman [32 New York], Richard F Robinson [28 Pennsylvania] & Elizabeth Boland [30 New York]. Stephen and William Robisnson are clercks; Wright Seaman is a merchant.¹ Wright was a 1st Lieutenant in the 12th aillinois infantry. His description upon entering the war was: 5' 10", Light hair, gray eyes and fair complexion. Wright died Sunday, 6 April 1862 at Shiloh, Tennessee, at age 32 years, 3 months and 29 days He was killed in the Battle of Shiloh.
