     Fredrick was born on Tuesday, 7 December 1880 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Fred was never married. He was Past Master for the Palestine Lodge - F & AM in Detroit. There he owned a hardware store at 3438 Woodward Avenue, Highland Park, which he lost during the depression. Later, he owned a hunting lodge in Sherman Township, Iosco County. He was about six foot tall. He lived with his sister, Lucile & her husband for many years. 20 April 1910, Fredrick was was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at 2895 East Grand Boulevard. Enumerated in this household were William H. Leggett [69 New York][widow], John W. [45 Michigan][married], Fred C. [29 Michigan], Lucile V. [25 Michigan], Robert C. Beardslee [74 Michigan][brother-in-law]. William was a real estate agent, John W. has own income, & Fred a clerk. They lived at 2895 East Grand Blvd. John had been married 18 years. [John was home from Europe for his mother's funeral-klm]1 3 April 1930, Fredrick was was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Birmingham, Oakland County, Michigan, at 588 Southfield Road. Enumerated in this household were Rice A. Howell [45 Michigan - real estate broker], Lucile L. [45 Michigan], Joann V. [10 Michigan], Wilhelmina W. [8 Michigan], Fred C. Leggett [brother-in-law][49 Michigan]. They resided at 588 Southfield. It was valued at $58,000. Rice was 24 and Lucile was 31 years when first married.2 Fredrick departed this life on Wednesday, 23 June 1954.

Obituary: FREDERIC C. LEGGETT- A retired Highland Park hardware merchant, Mr. Leggett, 73, of McIver, Mi., drowned Wednsday in Echo Bay at Port Austin while fishing. A native of Detroit, he was a member of the firm Leggett, Doll, and Foster Co., of Highland Park, prior to his retirement in 1933. Mr. Leggett was a past master of Palestine Lodge, F &AM. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rice Howell. Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at the Manely Bailey Funeral Home, 183 Oakland, Birmingham. Burial will be in Sashabaw Cemetary, Drayton Plains. He was buried in Sashabaw Plains, Independence Twp., Oakland Co., Michigan, in Sashabaw Cemetery.
