He is a traveling agent.3 4 June 1880, Elizabeth was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Detroit at 169 Elizabeth Street. Enumerated in this household were Augustus W. Leggett [64 New York], his wife: Eliza S. [65 New York], daughters: Blanche I. [20 Michigan] & Elizabeth A. Snow [married][30 New York].4 Elizabeth Hicks married 2nd Adolph Barthel on 7 October 1882 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at 169 Elizabeth Street. They were married at the home of Lizzie's parents.5 18 April 1910, Elizabethand her husband, Adolph were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Citronelle Village, Mobile County, Alabama. Enumerated in this household were Adolph Barthel [67 Germany], Elizabeth H. [60 New York]. They had been married 28 years with no children. He was a patent lawyer. He immigrated to the United States in 1872. They lived on State Street.6 Elizabeth departed this life on Friday, 10 October 1913 in Citronelle Village, Mobile County, Alabama. She was buried in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, in Woodmere Cemetery.
