     Anselm was born circa 1198. He also was noted as Ancel. Anselm was the last in the line of Marshalls to bear the title of Lord of Kilkenny. After his death the title passed to the husband of his sister Isabel, Gibert de Clare.2 Anselm departed this life on Friday, 22 December 1245.
