Catherine was born in 1596 in the village of Ige, Belleme, Orne, Normandy, France. This date was calculated from her age at death.¹ Catherine married Jules Trottier circa 1625 in St-Martin d'Ige, Orne, Normandy, France, at St-Martin Church.¹ Catherine's husband, Jules, died circa 10 May 1655 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Catherine departed this life in Trois-Rivieres. She was buried there in the churchyard of L'Assomption on Friday, 28 January 1656.²
