     William was born in 1486 in London, County Middlesex, England. William married Alice Spence circa 1510 in England. He and Alice were blessed with 9 children. William's wife, Alice, died in 1522 in London, County Middlesex, England, leaving him a widower. William married 2nd Lady Katherine Cook, daughter of William Cook, circa 1523 in England. She probably died from complications of childbirth. He and Katherine were blessed with 11 children. In the 25th year of the reign of Henry VIII [1509-1547], William traveled to Dunkirk and pulled down the pope's "Bull" which was a curse on the king & on the kingdom. Having done this, the king made him a knignt & granted him a freehold of 100 pounds per annum for the remainder of his life. He was also made one of the gentlemen of his privy chamber. There is evidence of the actual material that William supplied to Ann Boleyn and the princess Elizabeth, who was to become Queen. William's wife, Katherine, died on 14 October 1537 in London, County Middlesex, England, leaving him a widower. William married 3rd Eleanor (?) on 13 May 1540 in England. She was the widow of Walter Marsh. William's wife, Eleanor, died in 1546 in London, County Middlesex, England, leaving him a widower. He was sheriff in 1548 & alderman of London. William married 4th Elizabeth Meredith1522 on 28 January 1548 in London, County Middlesex, England. Elizabeth was a widow of Robert Meredith, citizen & mercer of London.3 William departed this life on Thursday, 24 August 1550 in London, County Middlesex, England. He was buried at London, County Middlesex, England, in Mercer's Chapel. His burial was on the register of St. Mary-le-Bow Church on Cordwainers' Street.4
