     Charles was born in 1657 in La Poterie-au-Perche, Orne, Normandy, France.1 Charles married Marie Maheu, daughter of Pierre Maheu and Jeanne Drouin, on 3 November 1678 in L'Ange-Gardien, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of L'Ange-Gardien.2 1681, Charles and Marie were listed on the Canadian Census in Comte de Montmorency, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Charles Letac, Clog maker [24 years], Marie Maheu [18 years], Louise [2 years] Barbe [1 year] & Marie [1 month].3 Charles departed this life on Thursday, 25 June 1716 in L'Ange-Gardien.4 He was buried there in the churchyard of L'Ange-Gardien.
