Joseph Lemire

M, b. 6 March 1662, d. 4 February 1703
     Joseph was born on Monday, 6 March 1662 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was christened on the same day there in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 A contract was drawn up by the notary, Giles Rageot. for the marriage of Joseph and Anne Hedouin. It was signed on 1 April 1685 in ville de Quebec. It notes his residence as Riviere-St-Charles & his parents as Jean Lemire & Louise Marsolet. It notes her residence as Riviere-St-Charles & her parents at Jacques Hedouin la Forge & Jeanne Brassard..2 Joseph's wife, Anne, died circa 29 August 1687 in ville de Quebec, leaving him a widower. He married 2nd on 13 November 1690, Jeanne Normand, at Notre Dame de Quebec. Joseph departed this life on Sunday, 4 February 1703 in ville de Quebec at Hotel-Dieu at age 40 years, 10 months and 29 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of the Hotel-Dieu on Sunday, 4 February 1703.3
