Catherine Lefebvre

     Catherine was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre Lefebvre & Jeanne Auneau. She was christened there on 4 December 1648 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.1 A contract for the marriage of Catherine & Antoine Trottier was signed on 2 September 1663. It was drawn up by their notary, Severin Ameau. It notes Antoine is a resident of Cap-de-la-Madeline, originally from St-Martin, Perche & his parents being the late Julien Trottier & the late Catherine Loyseau. Enumerated in this household were Pierre Lefebvre [50 years], Jeanne Auneau [41 years], Catherine [18 years], Jacques [21 years], Michel [14 years], Ignace [12 years], Ange [7 years] & Pierre [6 years].4 1681, Catherine and her husband, Antoine, were listed on the Canadian Census in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Antoine Trottier [42 years], Catherine Lefebvre [33 years], Joseph [13 years], Michel [10 years], Pierre [8 years], Noel [7 years], Francois [5 years], Marie [3 years], Antoine [1 year] & servant: Elisabeth [14 years].5 Catherine departed this life on Sunday, 29 November 1705 in Batiscan. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Monday, 30 November 1705.6
