Claude Larchevesque

     Claude was born in Grugny, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France. A contract for the marriage of Claude and Marie Simon was signed on 4 February 1645. It was drawn up by notary, Guillaume Tronquet. It notes Claude as being from La Gaillarde, Pays de Caux, Normandy & his parents as Guillaume Larchevesque & Jeanne Ley. It notes Marie as being originally from ville de Moleon, Poitou & her parents as Francois Simon, bourgeois, & Louise Lemoine.1 Claude married Marie Simon on 6 February 1645 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Claude drowned while returning to the Ile-d'Orleans, Quebec, Canada, on Monday, 5 May 1659.3
