Pierre Lafond dit Mongrain

M, b. circa 24 April 1655, d. circa 7 January 1721
     Pierre was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 24 April 1655 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.1 A contract for the marriage of Pierre and Marie-Madeleine Rivard was signed on 10 January 1677. It was drawn up by notary, Thomas Frerot. It notes that he was residing at Cap-de-la-Madeleine & his parents as the late Etienne de-Lafond & Marie Boucher. It also notes her parents as Nicolas Rivard de Lavigne & Catherine St-Paire.2 Pierre & Marie-Madeleine had children: Pierre [4/25/1679-9/06/1683], Jean [10/13/1681][m. 11/16/1716 Francoise Rivard], Marie-Madeleine [12/06/1682-10/19/1683], Marie-Madeleine [6/28/1684-7/07/1761][m. 2/11/1709 Nicolas Duclos], Marie-Catherine [1/08/1686-2/06/1686], Francois [1/17/1688-3/14/1724], Marie-Catherine [__-10/28/1691], Marie-Anne [11/16/1693][m. 11/08/1722 Claude Lepelle dit Lahaye], Marie-Agnes [3/14/1696][m. 9/19/1723 Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre], Marie-Jeanne [12/10/1697-7/18/1776][m. 11/22/1724 Joseph Lefebvre], Marie-Charlotte [10/24/1701-8/29/1749][m. 11/16/1727 Rene-Alesis Loranger] & Pierre [12/09/1704-2/15/1778][m. 8/06/1736 Catherine Trottier].3 Pierre departed this life in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Tuesday, 7 January 1721.4
