     Mary was born in Wrawby, Lincolnshire, England. She was christened there on 31 March 1749 in St. Mary the Virgin Church.1 Mary married John Colton II, son of John Colton I and Ann Stamp, on 5 August 1771 in Wrawby at St. Mary the Virgin Church. They were married in the presence of John Johnson & Job Bradford. John belonged to All Saints Church in Bigby at this time.2,3,4 Mary departed this life in Brigg. She was buried there in St. Mary the Virgin Churchyard on Tuesday, 22 December 1818.5
