Joseph Huet dit St Godard

     Joseph was born on Friday, 2 October 1744 in Fort Saint-Frederic, Quebec, Canada.¹ A contract for the marriage of Joseph and Therese Houde was signed on 20 March 1771. The notary B. Faribault wrote the contract stating that Joseph was the son of Pierre Watte dit St Godar and Angelique Geoffroy and Therese's parents were Joseph Houde and Angelique Marion.² Joseph and Therese had children: Marie Angelique [10/12/1771][m. 3/03/1794 Marie Antoine Marsan dit Lapierre], Joseph Pierre [12/05/17722/28/1782], Michel [8/19/1774-9/01/1774], Michel [1773-7/17/1817][m. 11/12/1798 Marie Josephe Naud], Genevieve Ursule [4/07/1776-3/20/1777], Marie Josephe 12/25/1777], Joseph Jacques [3/19/1779], Marie Esther [8/19/1780-10/20/1843][m. 11/12/1798 Pau Naud], Marie Genevieve [5/14/1782][m. 11/10/1806 Pierre Giard], Louis [10/31/1783-3/19/1784], Joseph [3/15/1785-5/18/1784], Therese [2/19/1787-3/22/1787], Jean Baptiste [1/09/1789-5/301791], Marie Therese 8/29/1790-10/21/1849][m. 1/12/1818 Michel Magnan dit Minier], Alexandre [2/01/1792], Joseph [2/01/1792].³ Joseph departed this life on Monday, 14 April 1828 in St-Ours, Richelieu County, Quebec, Canada, at age 83 years, 6 months and 12 days. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Ours on Wednesday, 16 April 1828.⁴
