Margaret married John Downs, son of William Downs and Abigail Ryder, on 16 May 1728 in Aquabogue in the Town of Southold. The family resided at Aquabogue, Suffolk Co., L.I., New York. Margaret's husband, John, died on 16 July 1745 in Aquabogue in the Town of Southold leaving her a widow.
