Keeler, Sarah Treadwell-Whelpley-Keeler, page 32 - Her maiden name is not known, but in 1659, she, as widow of John Whitlock, had married Henry Whelply, and in 1662 she was his widow; as the court ordered her to be paid £300 out of the estate of her former husband Treadwell shows that between Whitlock’s death in 1659 and Whelply’s death before June 6, 1662, she had been the wife of Edward Treadwell who had died between May 12, 1660 and January 28, 1661 and her next husband appears to be Ralph Keeler, whom she married about 1663, and there is some evidence to show that the widow of John Whitlock was dead by 1667. Winthrop’s Medical Journal refers to twelve year old Sarah Whitlock, being fatherless and motherless in 1667. If that is a fact, as it appears to be, Sarah, whom Ralph Keeler mentions as his wife in his will, could not have been the above Sarah, widow of Whitlock, Whelply and Treadwell, and in 1672 of Keeler. Keeler must have married another Sarah for his third wife, and she may have married Thomas Skidmore in 1684.
