Anne Groleau

F, b. 19 May 1725, d. 30 April 1801
     Anne was born on Saturday, 19 May 1725 in Deschambault, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Groleau & Isabelle Hamel. She was christened on the same day there in the church of St-Joseph.1 Anne married Jean-Baptiste Germain dit Belisle, son of Henri Germain dit Belisle and Genevieve-Elisabeth Marcotte, on 28 October 1748 in Deschambault at the church of St-Joseph.2 Jean-Baptiste & Marie-Anne had children: Marie-Anne [9/25/1749-2/27/1824][m. 1/11/1773 Francois Bonin], Jean-Baptiste [7/26/1751-3/23/1813][m. 2/16/1795 Therese Douvier dit Lamarch], Antoine [10/29/1752-9/18/1807], Francois [6/07/1754-2/06/1834][m. 10/09/1780 Marie Charlotte Provost], child [11/18/1755-11/18/1755], child [1756-7/31/1764], child [1758-2/23/1760], Marie-Madeleine [1/31/1760-4/21/1765], Pierre [5/30/1764] & Joseph [9/22/1766-3/06/1840][m. 1/09/1792 Josephte Enouille dit Lanoix]. Anne's husband, Jean-Baptiste, died on 4 January 1791 in St-Cuthbert, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Anne departed this life on Thursday, 30 April 1801 in St-Jacques de L'Achigan, Montcalm County, Quebec, Canada, at age 75 years, 11 months and 11 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Jacques on Saturday, 2 May 1801.3
