Simon Rich Griffin

     Simon Rich was born on Sunday, 14 July 1805 in Cherry Valley, Otsego County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Franklin & Ruth [Rich] Griffin. Simon married Sarah Stedman, daughter of John D. Stedman II and Sylvia Catlin, in New York. Simon's wife, Sarah, died on 8 January 1843 in Richford, Tioga County, New York, leaving him a widower. Simon departed this life on Sunday, 12 September 1869 in Harford Mills, Tioga County, New York.
