Henry Franklin

M, d. before 1 April 1710
     Henry was born in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Matthew Franklyn of Flushing. Henry married Dorothy Bowne, daughter of John Bowne and Hannah Feake, on 27 May 1689. Henry's wife, Dorothy, died on 29 September 1690, leaving him a widower. Henry married 2nd Sarah (?) in New York. Henry made his will on 3 April 1707 at the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York.

Henry Franklin of Flushing, bricklayer, 3 Apr. 1707. To wife Sarah ushinguse of whole plantation in Flushing within Beaver Dam line during the nonage of my daus. Sarah & Elizabeth, with remainder to my son Matthew when he is of age; he to pay to his brothers Henry & Thomas ?25 each. To son Henry 20 acres at Rockaway; to son Thomas 40 acres between Thos. Laurence & Frederick Van Loew, & 4o acres above the black stump which I bought of Judith & Hannah Smith. Goods to daus. Sarah & Elizabeth when eighteen. Exrs: John & Peter Berrien Benj. Haviland, & John Rodman. Wits: Thomas Clement, Daniel Stevenson, Daniel Laurence, & Robvert Hinksman.1


Henry departed this life before 1 April 1710 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. His will was probated on 1 April 1710.
