     Sarah was born circa 1667 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. Sarah married Samuel Goodwin circa 1682 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. He was 1st married to Sarah, daughter of Henry & Lydia [Frost] Gray. Sarah's husband, Samuel, died before 1690 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York, leaving her a widow. Sarah married 2nd Edward Hancock before 1690 in Westchester County, New York. In 1690, there is a land transaction listed in the Eastchester records between Edward Hancock & his step son, John Godin [Goodwin]. On 9 November 1695, Edward's step son, John Goodwin, sells him a horse.2 1698, Edward and his wife Sarah were listed on the Eastchester Town Census. Enumerated in this household were Edward Hancok, Sarah Hancok, Elias Hancok, Susana Hancok, John Godin, Mary Godin & Abigail Godin.3,4
