     Mary was born circa 1565 in London, County Middlesex, England. Mary married Thomas Barneham before 7 May 1595 in England. Mary's husband, Thomas, died before 17 February 1614, leaving her a widow.1 In the Post Mortem of her husband dated 17 February 1614, it was noted that "Mary Barnham, widow, lunatic, enjoys lucid interals, say Geoffrey Thurgad, William Pullyn, Tobias Dixon [later her neices husband], John Sylvester, William Feake, etcl She is incapable of managing her lands. Fifteen years ago, she was capax eruditionis. William Feake is her brother and next heir and she is aet. 49 and more."1
